Although the UK have faced a pandemic and literally all our lives were placed on halt things are starting to look a bit brighter, with lock down easing and businesses operating as normal. Needless to say we also must play our part and follow government guidelines. This month we prepare to set our selves for the upcoming live appeal.
February has been a fruitful month for our Hospital. With celebrations of our 6th Year Anniversary live and kicking we were able to invite more patients all throughout Bangladesh from different villages and districts. The celebration announcement was advertised to raise awareness, free Medical Camp facility and winter packs for all disadvantaged individuals. Many locals and dignitary representatives praised the services offered all throughout the pandemic and since opening Hospital doors from 2015
December 2020 an end of an era. We all have lived and fought through unusual times. Corona Virus has taken the lives of many loved ones but we all stood in solidarity. The government, local businesses and charitable organisations have come together supporting all boroughs and families weather through food bank schemes or mental and emotional support. The past year has taught us all more about unity and kinship amongst our loved ones and neighbours. Although there has been a rise in cases with many more infected with this deadly disease the NHS has been the back bone for the UK and this is a reflection of the thousands that chose to risk their lives for us all.
We at BBCGH have been working tirelessly throughout the pandemic ensuring our patients are receiving the treatment and crucial medical supplies they desperately require. During this difficult period our Hospital has reviewed over 10,000 patients providing essential medical care. We are pleased to say many have used our facility due to us providing free of charge service for the less privileged. We can proudly say that we are serving our purpose and serving the most needy all throughout Bangladesh.
We at BBCGH live by the philosophy to help people whom have no means to help themselves. Our Hospital opened its doors to help those that are nearest and dearest to us losing their lives to cancer and not being given a fighting chance. Bangladesh holds 164,689,383 people according to UN data. It has been placed as an alarming social destitute country for a significant amount of time. Where 90% of its people are categorised as poor. With a lack of finance to generate its population, medical treatment is available at a high cost and with so many living with illnesses that have never been diagnosed or treated.
Hope the winter has been keeping all our readers warm and ready for another dose of BBCGH news. Due to the current pandemic we are all facing we are uncertain of what may happen in the upcoming months but we are certain of some thing that BBCGH will and have been continuing to serve the underprivileged people of Bangladesh. We believe it is a crucial time to send out the message that our doors remain open, to serve those that have no other means to receive treatment and health care advice.

On Eid-Ul-Adha, which marks the completion of the annual Hajj pilgrimage, the Muslim world celebrates and honours the tradition of the Prophet Ibrahim (Alahi Salaam) by sacrificing an animal and distributing the meat to those in need.
We have presently taken on Mahers case, 7 years old suffering from a rare cancer. We have opened a Launch Good Page to build up funds of £25000 to help pay for medical treatment and give Maher and his family hope for survival. Join up to our Facebook and social media pages to follow his story. Our aim is to take on as many cancer patients whom do not have the funds for treatment and be their light in their darkest times. We will continue to serve the less fortunate as we have not forgotten them and we will continue to be their voice. Help us be heard!
February, we at BBCGH rallied around to celebrate World Cancer Day together with local Schools and public service officials. Our CEO Mr Shab Uddin along with Mr Abdul Shafik Fundraising Director and Bazidur Rahman Trustee, hosted the ceremony raising much needed funds and promoting BBCGH and its services. Our guests and local supporters were given the opportunity to be seen by a professional on the day for healthcare check-ups and assessments.
